Community Alcohol Strategy

Ballymun Local Drugs Task Force, in conjunction with Safer Ballymun, has produced a Community Alcohol Strategy for the area. Entitled ‘A Road To Change: Ballymun Community Alcohol Strategy 2010 – 2016’, the strategy aims to use a public health approach to reduce alcohol-related risk to the Ballymun community’s health, safety and well-being.
The Ballymun Community Alcohol Strategy was developed through a community consultation process and input from key local agencies. The strategy received valuable input from Dr Ann Hope, the former National Alcohol Policy Advisor in the Department of Health, who volunteered as an external advisor.
